The coffee
Born from the heart of Gaoligong

Where mist-kissed forests meet ancient volcanic soil, a different kind of coffee takes root.
Our story begins in Gaoligong Mountain, a lush paradise in western Yunnan where the altitude is high, the biodiversity is untouched, and the air is thick with the scent of wild herbs and rain-soaked soil. This isn’t just coffee country - it’s a natural sanctuary where every bean grows with purpose.
Natures perfect recipe
At 1200–1600 meters above sea level, the coffee cherries ripen slowly, cradled by cool nights and sun-drenched days.
The soil - rich with the ash of long-silent volcanoes - infuses each bean with a deep, mineral complexity.
Here, birds and bees replace chemicals. Forests aren't cleared - they’re woven into the farms themselves.
Introduced by French missionaries over a century ago, Arabica coffee has evolved in Yunnan to develop its own DNA -
a distinctive “Yunnan signature” .From citrusy brightness and floral notes in light roasts to chocolatey depth in darker profiles, Gaoligong coffee isn’t just a drink - it’s a coded message from the mountain, waiting to be decoded in every sip.

Local Lisu and Dai farmers cultivate the land with wisdom passed down through generations.
They hand-pick, sun-dry, and ferment beans with mountain spring water - not because it’s trendy, but because it’s tradition. Our cooperative model honors their work with direct trade practices, keeping the value where it belongs - with the land and its people.
Every cup of Chinese Herbal Coffee is more than flavor: it’s a quiet act of resistance against environmental destruction and cultural erasure. It’s a toast to biodiversity, sustainable farming, and the elegant harmony of ecology and craftsmanship.
From seed to cup, Gaoligong coffee is a promise - one we invite you to taste
